Many of these videos have several options.  Click Streaming and the video will play in a new window as it downloads, so you will not have to wait as long, but you will not be able to save the movie this way.  To save the movie on your pc, right-click on the Quick, Normal or High-Res options and choose "Save Target As"  This will save download time versus left-clicking these options and give you a status report of the time left to download while you wait.
